It seems to have become a bit of a tradition that for the Marlow Bridge Lodge meeting in December we have what’s known as a ‘white table’ meeting. The purpose of these meetings is to invite the ladies and non-Mason friends along for an evening of good food and festive entertainment.
This year we had a new quiz master taking over from W. Bro. R Newell who has run the quiz for many years now. Our very own W. Bro. M Garnham threw his hat into the ring. The quiz was very well received and everyone had a good time.
After the quiz we were treated to a wonderful dinner and enjoyed the delights of the Military Wives Choir of Windsor, culminating in a rather energetic rendition of ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’ with a good measure of audience participation thrown in!
On the evening we raised a substantial amount of money for our various charities. We intend to donate these funds at the Buckinghamshire cheque presentation event in February 2016.
A great fun way to round off a successful Masonic year and we all are looking forward to 2016.
